Veneers are wafer-thin porcelain shells used to cover small chips, cracks, stains, and other minor imperfections in front teeth.
If you’ve always felt self-conscious of your smile, it’s time to schedule an appointment with our Bloomfield Hills veneers dentist.
Dental veneers are teeth covers that give you the appearance of a healthy smile.
We use porcelain veneers for front teeth that are:
- Chipped
- Discolored
- Oddly Shaped
- Unevenly Spaced
- Slightly Crooked
- Stained
Porcelain Veneers Procedure
The veneers procedure takes two appointments. During your first visit with us, our dentist will remove just enough enamel from the fronts of your teeth to accommodate the porcelain veneers. Next, he’ll take impressions of your teeth to send to the lab. While you wait for your veneers to be made, temporary teeth covers will be placed to protect your smile.
When you return for your second appointment, your porcelain veneers will be ready. Our dentist will make sure that your veneers are the appropriate size, color, and shape before replacing the temporary teeth covers with your permanent veneers. Little or no anesthesia is needed for the veneers procedure.
Veneers have a longer life expectancy and color stability than teeth bonding, and highly resist permanent staining from coffee, tea, and even cigarette smoking.
